Our most recent projects
RV Gunnerus
Our Gateway covered Camera and Communication on a 100 ft (31,25 m) and 100 ton vessel: R/V Gunnerus . The stream ran continuously on a full coastal route Trondheim - Ålesund during the Norwegian winter with a temperature reaching sub-zero temperatures down at -11C°, holding our systems live and connected over 5G the entire time without problems.
Candela
An electric hydrofoil ferry, live remote supervision and control via 5G that's brought online in just minutes, not weeks. The camera stream endured sub-zero degrees in speeds up to 30 knots (55 km/h) during test runs in the Trondheim fjords.Operators in the Shore Control Lab saw the livestream from the Gateway 4C, with the panorama camera setup of 225° field of view.
Autonomous car
NTNU Autonomous Perception Laboratory (NAPLab) is a research group at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology focusing on developing and evaluating state-of-the-art autonomous vehicle perception and decision-making models robust to Nordic conditions. The Gateway is mounted on this vehicle to prove the connectivity in cities, in tunnels and in rural areas where there tend to be less coverage.
